As far back as 508BC when democracy was established in Athens African countries hasn’t been enjoying the system especially the economic part of the system.

Most African countries got independence from European countries in 1960 since then there shall never much economic development in the continent.

*The root cause of economic pricarity:

1. Africa with 54 countries in the continent and more than 1.4m population is expected to be 40% of global population before the end of this century. But it has been suggested that 80% of that huge population will be extremely poor.

2. The continent lack competent leadership

3. Corruption in the continent is everywhere like a rain season

4. The burden of debts of mothan 600 million dollars

5. Unproductive population

6. The 10 prescribed conditionalities of economic interplay for the continent

7. Enforcement of Western types of democracies which is contrary to the tradition, culture and social living in the continent
