NFF President Congratulates Yari On Appointment As Tinubu Re-election Campaign DG

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Mon, popularly known as Kigon Gusau, has congratulated Senator Abdul Aziz Abubakar Yari, Marafan Sokoto, on his appointment as the Director-General of the campaign organisation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
In a congratulatory message issued on Saturday, August 22, 2026, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Mon described Senator Yari as a complete gentleman, confident and experienced leader whose dedication, commitment and leadership qualities have contributed significantly to the development of Zamfara State and Nigeria.
The NFF President expressed confidence in Senator Yari’s capacity to deliver on the new assignment, describing him as a hardworking and committed leader with the experience and political capacity required for the task.
“As my brother and leader, I certainly believe, without any fear of contradiction, that he is equal to the task assigned to him by Mr. President. By the special grace of God, he will deliver, given his hard work, dedication and commitment to every responsibility entrusted to him,” he said.
He further noted that Senator Yari’s achievements and contributions during his tenure as Executive Governor of Zamfara State demonstrated his ability to provide effective leadership and mobilise people towards achieving set objectives.
Alhaji Musa Mon expressed optimism that Senator Yari would deploy his extensive political experience and broad relationships across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones to advance the objectives of the President’s re-election campaign.
“Apparently, as he embarks on this gigantic but important assignment as Director-General of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign, I am confident that he will make judicious use of his vast experience towards realising the set objectives nationwide,” he added.
The NFF President prayed to Almighty God to grant Senator Yari wisdom, strength and guidance as he assumes his new responsibility.
He wished the former Zamfara State Governor abundant success in the assignment and congratulated him on his appointment.
