The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Jigawa State Chapter, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hajiya Sadiya Ibrahim Ladan, the mother of the Association’s National Secretary, Mrs. Wasila Ladan, and the Chairperson of NAWOJ, Jigawa State Chapter, Hajiya Hauwa Ibrahim Ladan.
In a condolence message issued by the association, NAWOJ described the death of Hajiya Sadiya Ibrahim Ladan as a painful loss, not only to her immediate family but also to the journalism community.
The association said it shares in the grief of the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, envelop her in His boundless mercy, and grant her eternal abode in Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
NAWOJ also prayed for Allah to grant Mrs. Wasila Ladan, Hajiya Hauwa Ibrahim Ladan, and the entire family the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The statement concluded with the Islamic prayer:
“Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un” (Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall all return).
It further prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) accepts the deceased’s good deeds, forgives her sins, and grants her eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.
