The Kwankwasiyya Movement has condemned remarks made by Asari Dokubo against its leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, describing them as baseless and capable of causing division.
In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Dr. Habibu Sale Mohammed, the group said the allegations were false and intended to distract the public from pressing national issues.
The statement described as “offensive” the claim that Kwankwaso would “sell Muslims for kobo kobo,” insisting that such comments do not reflect his political record or long-standing commitment to justice and inclusivity.
According to the group, Kwankwaso’s career has been defined by service and efforts to improve the lives of Nigerians, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or region.
The movement added that leadership should be judged by measurable achievements, particularly in areas such as education, infrastructure, and inclusive governance.
It also warned that such remarks could divert attention from key challenges facing the country, including economic hardship, insecurity, and rising inequality.
The Kwankwasiyya Movement said it would not engage in abusive exchanges but would continue to defend the reputation of its leader.
It called on Nigerians to reject divisive politics and misinformation, and instead embrace unity and constructive dialogue.
