Following our invitation to Tijjani Gandu concerning a song he released which was alleged to have contravened the censorship law establishing the Board, the Board wishes to inform the public of its position on the matter.
The Board received a medical report concerning the health condition of Tijjani Gandu through his legal representative, who presented the report as the reason for his inability to honour the Board’s invitation at the scheduled time.
Following verification of the authenticity of the medical report by medical professionals, the Board was satisfied with the information provided and accepted the illness as a genuine reason for his inability to respond to the invitation at the scheduled time.
The Board further wishes to state that it will continue to monitor the situation concerning Tijjani Gandu until he fully recovers, in accordance with the provisions of the law establishing the Kano State Censorship Board.
Finally, the Kano State Censorship Board wishes Tijjani Gandu a speedy recovery and prays for his continued good health.
