The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Dr. Jamil Gwamna, popularly known as Sardaunan Gombe, has declared that the development of Gombe State and the welfare of its people remain the driving force behind his political ambition.
Addressing party members, stakeholders, and supporters, Gwamna said his “Gombe First” vision represents a commitment to place the interests of the people above personal and political considerations.
According to him, the agenda is anchored on unity, inclusive governance, sustainable development, and equal opportunities for all citizens of the state.
“Gombe First is not just a slogan; it is a commitment to place the interests of Gombe people above all. It means Gombe first in development, unity, and opportunity for all,” he stated.
The APC governorship hopeful assured residents that his administration would run an inclusive and people centered government where every segment of society would have a sense of belonging regardless of gender, social status, or background.
He pledged to build a leadership structure that listens to the people and gives every citizen a role in governance.
In a move seen as a call for unity within the ruling party, Gwamna extended an olive branch to fellow APC aspirants, describing them as partners working towards a common goal rather than political enemies.
“We all share a common goal, the development of Gombe State. I extend my hand of partnership to all aspirants. Together, we are stronger,” he said.
Gwamna also praised Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for what he described as remarkable strides in infrastructure, stability, and governance, promising to consolidate on the achievements if elected.
He said his administration would prioritise critical sectors including education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, human capital development, and youth empowerment.
According to his media aide Ibrahim Sani Shawai, the APC candidate further aligned his vision with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that closer collaboration with the Federal Government would attract more opportunities and economic growth to Gombe State.
He promised responsive leadership focused on delivering tangible results and improving the living standards of citizens.
Calling on residents to embrace unity and purposeful leadership, Gwamna urged the people of the state to support a vision built on peace, development, and collective progress.
“This is our moment to choose unity over division, progress over politics, and leadership that truly works for the people,” he declared.
He appealed to the people of Gombe State to join hands in building what he described as a stronger, united, and more prosperous state.
