The Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Kano State, Abdulkarim Kabiru Maude, SAN, ACArb, yesterday, 29th September 2026, led a team of lawyers from the Kano State Ministry of Justice before the Court of Appeal, Kano Division, in the case of Attorney-General of Kano State & 2 Others v. National Judicial Council & 2 Others.
The matter, which involves issues of legal and institutional importance to the Kano State Government, was brought before the appellate court as part of the ongoing judicial process. The Attorney-General personally led the Stateโs legal team, underscoring the importance attached to the matter by the Kano State Government.
While the specific issues before the court form part of the judicial proceedings, the appearance provided an opportunity for the Stateโs position to be presented through its legal representatives before the appellate court.
The Attorney-Generalโs personal appearance further reflects his hands-on approach to his responsibilities as the chief law officer of the State, particularly in matters with significant implications for the government and people of Kano State.
The Kano State Ministry of Justice continues to discharge its mandate of providing effective legal services to the State, protecting its legal interests and supporting the administration of justice, in line with the Kano First Agenda of the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, Executive Governor of Kano State.
