Governor Yusuf Hails Ganduje Foundation As 370 Embrace Islam

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has commended the Ganduje Foundation Islamic Da’awa Centre for what he described as its significant contributions to the promotion of peace and the propagation of Islam in Kano State and beyond.
The governor also praised the Chairman of the Foundation and former Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for his immense contributions to the growth of Islam and humanitarian service in the state.
According to a press statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, Office of the Deputy Governor, Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu, Governor Yusuf made the remarks during a special prayer session organised by the Foundation for the sustenance of peace in Kano State and Nigeria.
The event, held last Saturday at the Kano residence of Dr. Ganduje, also witnessed the conversion of 370 non-Muslims to Islam.
The governor, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, said the Foundation had continued to play a vital role in promoting Islamic values and peaceful coexistence.
He prayed for Almighty Allah to grant Dr. Ganduje more strength and wisdom to sustain his efforts towards the advancement of Islam and humanitarian activities.
Governor Yusuf also advised the new converts to dedicate themselves to learning the teachings of Islam so they could properly observe their religious obligations. He prayed for Allah to grant them steadfastness in their faith and urged them to remain God-fearing in all their dealings.
He further appreciated all individuals and organisations that contributed to the success of the programme and encouraged them to sustain their support.
In his remarks, Dr. Ganduje prayed for lasting peace, unity and socio-economic development in Kano State and Nigeria. He also prayed for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, wishing him good health and success in the administration of the country.
The former governor described Governor Yusuf as a committed and hardworking leader dedicated to promoting peace, unity and understanding among the people of Kano through his Kano First Agenda.
He congratulated the new converts and urged them to remain steadfast in practising Islam in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah, while reaffirming the Foundation’s commitment to promoting Islam in Kano State and beyond.
Among the dignitaries at the event were the Senator representing Kano South Senatorial District, Senator Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila, as well as prominent Islamic scholars drawn from the Tijjaniyya, Qadiriyya and Izala Islamic groups across the state.
The occasion also featured the presentation of gifts to the new converts.
