The promotion of 44 Local Government Commanders by the Kano State Hisbah Board has been described as a morale booster aimed at strengthening discipline, dedication, and professionalism within the agency.
The colourful decoration ceremony, held at the Board’s headquarters in Kano, saw the affected officers elevated from the rank of Assistant Superintendent to Superintendent in recognition of their outstanding service and commitment to duty.
Speaking during the event, the Commander General of the Board, Sheikh Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, said the promotion was purely based on merit, hard work, and dedication demonstrated by the commanders in their various local government areas.
He urged the newly promoted officers to see the elevation as a call for greater responsibility and improved performance in the discharge of their duties.
According to him, the Board expects the commanders to continue exhibiting professionalism, patience, and integrity while avoiding acts capable of tarnishing the image and reputation of the Hisbah institution.
“This promotion should inspire you to redouble your efforts and remain committed to serving society with honesty and discipline,” the Commander General stated.
Responding on behalf of the promoted officers, Hamidan Tanko Alaska, who is also the Chairman of the Forum of the 44 Local Government Hisbah Commanders, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Board for finding them worthy of the promotion.
He described the gesture as timely and motivating, assuring that the officers would continue to uphold honesty, trustworthiness, hard work, and dedication to duty.
A statement signed by Auwalu Ado Shehe Director Public Enlightenment of the board says the ceremony was attended by senior officials of the Board, including Acting Commander General Mujahid Aminuddeen Abubakar and Khadija Sagir Suleman, among others.
